One Piece: 5 Things That Show The Yonko Are Overrated

The Yonko are the four most powerful pirates in the world of One Piece and they rule over the second half of the Grand Line, known as the New World. These pirates are known to be so incredibly strong that even the Navy can't stop them from ruling the seas like Kings.

While the Yonko are, undoubtedly, quite powerful, they're often subject to being overrated by the fans due to all the hype that's built up over the years.

5. Overrated: Kaido Having Lost

Kaido is one of the strongest characters in the series currently if not the strongest and he's also one of the Four Emperors. Although he's considered to be incredibly powerful, the fact remains that Kaido has lost 7 fights in his life.

He's challenged the Navy and the Four Emperors countless times and as a result, he has been captured 18 times by them. This just goes to show that Kaido, despite being the strongest, can lose.

4. Overrated: Big Mom's Hunger Pangs

Another one of the Four Emperors, in her own right and someone deemed to be equal to Kaido in terms of strength. However, much like any other character, she has her glaring weaknesses as well.

Big Mom often gets hunger pangs and if she isn't fed what she craves, she gets weaker with time. This was seen during the Whole Cake Island arc of One Piece, where according to Perospero, Big Mom could've died had she not eaten Sanji's cake.

3. Overrated: Kaido's Indestructible

During his introduction, Kaido was said to be a character who nobody alive in the world of One Piece could injure. The only person to have ever wounded him was Kozuki Oden, but he has been dead for years.

However, during the Wano Country arc, Kaido was injured by all the Scabbards of Oden, who were said to possess the same Ryou as Oden himself. More than likely, anyone with an advanced level of Ryou can injure Kaido, which is why Luffy mastered it as well.

2. Overrated: Whitebeard's Health

At the end of the day, the Yonko aren't Gods. While they're extremely powerful, they can still die, as seen during the Marineford arc, where due to his old age, Whitebeard couldn't fight to his fullest and eventually died.

That's certainly not to say that Whitebeard was overrated, however, it means that not even the strongest can beat old age and with time, they will get significantly weaker, just like any other person in the world.

Garp and Sengoku are two of the most powerful Marines in the One Piece world. During the era of Roger, Sengoku was one of the Admirals, while Garp served as a Vice-Admiral, but was just as strong as an Admiral

Often, fans think that the Yonko are far stronger than the Admirals, however, Roger himself considered them to be worthy opponents of his. The Yonko are strong for sure, however, they might not be as strong as some people take them to be.
